Donated Dobsonian Scope
This 6-inch Skywatcher Dobsonian telescope was very kindly donated to the NAA by Nick Thompson of Northampton.
This is giving great pleasure to members and visitors alike at our star watches.

Gerry gets his Award
Gerry Workman, NAA Vice President, receives The Eric Zuccher Award for his contribution to astronomy.
On a sunny Saturday in July last year Northants Amateur Astronomers held its Stars ‘n Stripes Day at Geddington Village Hall.
This turned out to be a fun packed day for all. There were talks throughout the day including from Mr Bob Mizon from the BAA, Kevin Smith and others. The speakers kept us all entertained with some fantastic and very informative talks.
There was much on display throughout the day, such as, a variety of telescopes with members on hand to help demonstrate their workings, miniature models of a variety of space-craft and a model demonstrating how craters are formed.
There were children’s activities throughout the day and a solar scope was set up to give visitors an opportunity to see solar flares and sun-spots.
Below are just a few images from the day.
